Dr. Katie Nam is excited to join Cascadia Kids Dentistry, where her dedication is all about providing exceptional care to children and their families. With her warm demeanor and calming presence, she aims to make dental visits positive and stress-free, focusing on delivering top-tier patient care.
Originally from Seoul, South Korea, Dr. Katie spent most of her life in the United States. Prior to settling in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, she lived in five different states, completing her undergraduate studies at Georgetown University in Washington, DC, earning her dental degree at the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine in Buffalo, NY, and obtaining her pediatric dental certificate at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. In 2020, Dr. Katie was honored with the Richard C. Pugh Achievement Award from the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry for placing in the top three percent of the 2020 Qualifying Examination.
Dr. Katie is deeply committed to outreach and advocacy, having traveled to San Francisco de Macorís, Dominican Republic, to provide free dental care to Haitian children. Dr. Katie is board-certified and holds a diplomate status with the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. She is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Washington State Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and American Academy of Developmental Medicine and Dentistry.
Outside of her professional life, Dr. Katie finds joy in swimming, traveling, and sharing culinary adventures with her husband and their furry companion, Joy. A devoted Disney fan, she treasures films such as Frozen and Inside Out, with Hello Kitty holding a special place as her favorite character.
